The most common initial reason for entering
treatment includes anxiety, relationship difficulty, explosive
behavior, depression and low self-esteem. Initially together
we’ll focus on the symptoms and use strategies that are established by
research to be the most effective for the target problem.
Next we’ll try to understand why these particular symptoms are
surfacing at this particular time in your life. This view
allows us to take the most positive approach possible. Not only will we
know what is wrong, but we’ll also focus on what needs to be right and
how to make that happen.
In the case of severe, chronic mental illness, we do all of the above and more.
We strive to be your strongest support and team leader because we know
the special challenges that you, your child and his/her siblings face.
We know that chronic, severe childhood mental illness is life’s
cruelest curve of all.
